The fifth step to Lean Toward Happy is managing your energy. If you have the habit of reacting to everything that happens in your life by labeling it as good or bad you are at the mercy of your emotions.
One way to easily begin to respond instead of react is to use the energy neutral statement, “That’s Interesting.”, when anything happens. From this calm place of non-judgment, you can choose how you wish to respond.
As you begin to consciously manage your energy you can trust your feelings to help guide you toward what you really desire. In this audio I share how to use your feelings as a reliable guide.
One way to tell what is true for you at this moment, is to feel if it feels heavy or light to you. The secret to this is that your truth is only true for you…you have no way of knowing what is true for others and others can’t know what is true for you.
Which brings us to freeing yourself from concern about what others think of you. I know this may feel impossible but it is an important step in both honoring yourself and fulfilling your dreams.
Releasing all the ‘shoulds’ that you have picked up by trying to please others frees you to discover what your true desires are.
